About
After years of frustration as a cable, streaming and utility customer, I started up this site to vent my thoughts on the various services. I guess it struck a chord as I was deluged with emails. Horror stories and some good ones too.
After over 10 years at it, my single best piece of advice is to take your time when comparing each service – you don’t want to end up with the wrong provider and get locked into a contract if you’re not completely happy. If you can, it’s always a good idea to take the service for a test drive during a free trial. For example, if you know someone who has DIRECTV or DISH, invite yourself over and take control of the remote. If you’re still welcome after a half hour, give the program guide a spin. Both services have pretty intuitive menus and channel breakdowns (we prefer DIRECTV’s layout). That should give you a nice intro. From there, check out their pricing comparisons and the rest of articles to compare both services.
Home internet and VPNs are all the rage these days as well. As the years go by, privacy can and should take priority with everything online. Even if you don’t need a VPN to get a better programming plan (from a different area), having that extra anonymity is huge. Big brother only visits if you let it.
I hope you enjoy the site and if you have any issues, questions or comments, get in touch anytime.
